Congratulations to our outstanding Community Activity Recognition Award recipients

Kevin Brooks is a Ph.D. candidate and Holmes Scholar in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction and instructor for the African American Studies Program at Purdue University. Kevin leads the Rites of Passage mentoring program.

Cody Mullen is a West Lafayette native, now studying Chemistry at Purdue. He began assisting with Cub Scout activities in the sixth grade and has continued that service.

Benjamin Nault is a Chemistry major at Purdue and Staff Resident at Meredith Hall. Benjamin is a four year volunteer with the Boiler Volunteer Network, working as both a site leader and an issue advocate to provide community service and education in Greater Lafayette.

Beatriz Pacheco grew up in Lafayette and is currently an Organizational Leadership and Supervision major at Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette, where she is President of the Latino Student Union and Director of Public Relations for the Student Government Association. 

Morgan Reitmeyer is pursuing her Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition with focus areas in Writing, Program Administration, and Digital Writing. Morgan served as a VISTA volunteer before returning to school in Colorado to earn a Master’s Degree where she developed an appreciation for the Land Grant institution’s mission to engage locally.
