Christmas Parade to be Broadcast
Whether you were a participant or spectator, sponsor or volunteer, Greater Lafayette would like to thank the community for their support of the largest holiday Parade in the State of Indiana! Holiday sponsors included Lafayette Savings Bank, Landis+Gyr, Cook Medical, Stall, SIA, Kessler Diamond Center, and Tipmont REMC.
Entries receiving awards this year were: Elementary: Girl Scout Troop #50019 – 1st place, Cub Scout Pack #3324 – 2nd place, and Cub Scout Pact #3338 – 3rd place; Youth: Tippecanoe County 4-H Horse and Pony – 1st place, Cub Scout Pack #3310 – 2nd place, First Three Steps Learning Center – 3rd place, Young at Heart: Pride Lafayette, Inc. – 1st place, Lafayette Savings Bank – 2nd place, Lowe’s Home Improvement – 3rd place. The winner of the Mayor’s Choice Award was St. James Girl Scouts.
If you missed the Parade or if you wish to again watch the enchantment of the Parade unfold as it marches through downtown Lafayette-West Lafayette with floats, local celebrities, live performances, marching bands, equestrians, and of course, Santa himself, please turn in to WLFI TV-18 on Saturday, December 19 at 12:30 p.m. or on Friday, December 25 at 5 p.m.
